Welcome Adil Hussain!
Adil Hussain is a familiar face to CUneXus. He began as an Advisory Board Member but has joined us full time as the new Director of Finance. A 12-year finance and technology veteran, Adil has co-founded or served as an executive at a number of startups in the fintech and enterprise software industries. His broad experience building businesses as an entrepreneur and investor across the United States and Asia, includes his work at Standard Chartered Principal Finance in Singapore, where he invested $20-150 million in companies throughout Asia. After Standard Chartered, Adil worked at Red Dot & Extream Ventures, where he invested in technology companies from angel to Series A stage and sat on a number of company boards. He was also a Research Fellow at a think tank founded by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and authored a policy proposal which led to the creation of a $300 million government investment fund.
Adil holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and master’s degrees in Ethics and Finance, and Government from Harvard University. He received an entrepreneurial award from MIT in 2007, and is currently working toward the Certified Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Professional certification.
Born in upstate New York and raised in New Jersey, Adil has called many places home. His education and career have taken him to Michigan, Washington DC, New York, Boston, Singapore and San Francisco. Adil is now happy to call Santa Rosa home and enjoys meeting new people, reading/learning, overseas travel, working out, and being outdoors appreciating nature.
